Install the PURA Family Directory app.
purasyndrome.app installs on your phone, tablet or computer like any other app. It opens in its own window, and the care pack, emergency card, guides and checklists are always one tap away, even with no signal.
- 1tap from your home screen, taskbar or dock
- 0app stores, accounts or downloads to pay for
- key tools keep working with no signal
- your private notes stay on your device
On iPhone or iPad: tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
You’re using the app already. Nice!

Ready when there’s no signal
Hospital wards, waiting rooms and car parks often have poor signal. These are saved on your device the first time you open the site, so they still open with no connection:
- Care packYour “All about me” passport, saved on this device.
- Emergency cardThe wallet card and lock-screen image.
- Seizure diaryAdd entries offline; they’re stored on this device.
- GuidesEvery practical guide and the start-here steps.
- ChecklistsAll the printable “what to ask” lists.
- GlossaryWords you’ll hear, explained.
Questions, answered
Is it a real app?
It’s a web app (sometimes called a PWA). It’s the same website, installed so it opens in its own window with its own icon, and it keeps key pages saved for offline use. There’s nothing to buy and no account.
Does it cost anything or use much space?
It’s free. It saves a small set of pages and tools on your device, much less than a typical app, and the browser keeps it up to date automatically.
What works offline?
The care pack, emergency card, seizure diary, benefits finder, appointment prep sheet, the guides, the checklists, the glossary and the start-here steps are saved when you first visit. Pages you’ve opened before also work offline. Searching other websites, the newsletter sign-up and the contact forms need a connection.
Is my information private?
Yes. Anything you type into the care pack, emergency card or seizure diary is saved only on your own device, never sent to us. Installing the app doesn’t change that. On a shared device, use each tool’s delete button when you’ve finished.
How do I remove it?
Remove it like any other app: press and hold the icon on a phone, or use the app window’s menu on a computer and choose Uninstall. If you want to delete your saved notes too, use the delete buttons in each tool first.
